Xavier Aptitude Test (X.A.T) is an online computer-based entrance examination conducted every year by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) School of Business Management on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). X.A.T scores form the primary criterion for admission in M.B.A and other management courses at XLRI and over 140 other business schools in the country that also accept X.A.T scores.

What is the X.A.T exam?

X.A.T or Xavier Aptitude Test is the entrance exam organized by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur on the behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). X.A.T 2019 will be conducted in 6^th January 2019. The exam duration is 3½ hours from 10 AM to 1:35 PM. The Mode for X.A.T Exam is Online.

XLRI application has been embedded with X.A.T application. Candidates applying to XLRI do not have to fill up two separate forms. X.A.T is the second largest MBA entrance exam for M.B.A/PGDM after CAT. It is considered to be one of the toughest M.B.A entrance exams in India that calls for complete dedication and awareness.

X.A.T 2020 Eligibility

Candidates must have a recognized Bachelor’s Degree of a minimum of three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
Students completing their final examination by June 10, 2020, are also eligible to apply.
All Indian candidates must appear for X.A.T 2020. However, NRI and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT score (except Dubai and Kathmandu wherein candidates have an option of appearing for X.A.T 2020)

X.A.T 2020 Exam Pattern and Analysis

The X.A.T exam pattern for 2020 is divided into 2 parts:

Part 1 – Verbal Ability, Decision Making, and Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
Part 2 – GK and Essay

Based on previous years’ exam patterns. Accordingly, all questions will carry equal marks. The candidate has to choose the right option. Otherwise, one-fourth mark will be deducted for every incorrect attempt. Each question in X.A.T 2020 test paper will have 5 answer options. Apart from the overall cut-off percentile, the X.A.T 2020 exam will also have sectional cut-offs. There will be no negative marking for the writing section.
