C.A.T 2019-Common Admission Test

The Common Admission Test (C.A.T) is a computer-based exam held in India. It scores a candidate on the basis of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR). The Indian Institutes of Manage ment (II.Ms) started this test to select students for their business administration programs. C.A.T is conducted every year by one of the II.Ms based on a policy of rotation.

The Indian Institute of Manage ment, Kozhi kode (II.M-K) has extended the last date for the online registration process of C.A.T 20-19 to September 25, till 5 pm, to accommodate students who missed out due to unseasonal rains and floods in several states. Earlier, the varsity had decided to close the online application process for C.A.T 20-19, on September 18, 20-19. The C.A.T 20-19 registration began on August 7 this year in the online mode. Do note that the last day for registering for C.A.T 20-19 is now September 25, 20-19.

The C.A.T 20-19 is the mandatory entrance exam for ad-mission to flagship PGP 2020-22 and other programmes in 20 II.Ms and other top rated B schools like: FMS, MDI, NITIE, SPJIMR, XLRI and others. II.M Kozhi kode, the co-ordinating institute of C.A.T 20-19, will conduct the C.A.T 20-19 examination on November 24 in two sessions across 156 cities in the country.

C.A.T 2019 Registration and Fee

The application fee for general-category candidates is Rs 1,900 and the fee for those belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories is Rs 950. If you are aspiring to appear in C.AT 20-19, you need to first register for the examination and then submit the fees.

CA.T 2019 eligibility

Contenders with a graduate degree from a recognised institute or university are eligible to apply for CA.T 20-19 exam and must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent. The reserved-category candidates need to hold a minimum of 45 per cent marks.

CA.T 2019 paper pattern

CA.T 2019 examination will be of a 180-minute duration. Candidates will have to attempt three sections:

Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning

Section III: Quantitative Ability

Candidates will be allotted 60 minutes to answer questions in each section mentioned above. The CA.T 20-19 selection process conducted by II.Ms involves a Written Ability Test (WAT), and a Personal Interview (PI).

CA.T 2019 Exam Centres

374 CA.T 20-19 exam centres will be located across 156 cities in India. In 2018, two new exam states have been added- Mizoram and Nagaland and exam was held in 147 cities. While filling the CA.T 20-19 registration form, CA.T applicants are required to select four exam centres city in the order of preference. The final CA.T exam centre will be allotted by the exam conducting II.M and the exam centre details including address and Google map will be printed on the C.AT admit card 20-19.
