NMIMS Mumbai Admission 2022: Step by Step Process
The admission process of the two year full time MBA Programmes at SBM NMIMS Mumbai has following steps:
- Step-1: Register and apply for NMAT exam 2021

4.2.1 Step-1: Register and apply for NMAT exam 2021
The first thing is to Register and apply for NMAT by GMAC 2021 exam before the last date of registration for NMAT exam
4.2.2 Step-2: Apply to NMIMS before NMAT exam date
- Register with NMIMS before your scheduled date of exam or NMIMS last date whichever is earlier. For example, if your NMAT exam is scheduled on 15th November 2021, you should apply for NMIMS MBA admission on or before 14th November 2021.
- You can register and appear for Main or Re-apply for NMAT examination But, NMIMS will accept candidates from the Main examination only. It means that the candidates qualifying the NMIMS cut off based on NMAT retake exam scores will not be part of the 2nd stage of selection process and the Retake/Reapplication scores will not considered for further selection process.

4.2.3 Step-3: Check Short-list on the basis of NMAT Score
NMIMS will shortlist the candidates on the basis of the following parameters:
- NMIMS-SBM, Mumbai will consider NMAT by GMAC 2021 exam score of the applicants for shortlisting for final admission round.
- Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the combination of their score in NMAT by GMAC exam and latest preferences of the programmes selected on the NMIMS application / reapplication form.

NMIMS SBM Mumbai Admission Criteria 2021 is a two-step process involving the Shortlisting criteria based on NMAT by GMAC entrance exam score and the Final admission selection Criteria comprising Case Discussion and Personal Interview for the shortlisted candidates.

The first part of NMIMS, Mumbai Admission criteria is the shortlisting criteria before the final selection round. NMIMS will shortlist the candidates on the basis of the following parameters:
- NMIMS-SBM, Mumbai will consider NMAT by GMAC 2020 exam score of the applicants for shortlisting for final admission round.
- Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the combination of their score in NMAT by GMAC exam and the latest preferences of the programs selected on the NMIMS application/reapplication form

Final Admission Selection Round Criteria
- Post-short-listing on the basis of available scores, applicants will be called for the final selection round (PI Round) at the designated centers
- NMIMS Mumbai and other campuses selection criteria in final admission round award weight to Entrance exam score; Academics; Work Experience and performance in Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI) round.
- No weightage will be awarded for the work experience below 6 months. Besides, Training/Project work/work done as an integral part of the curricular requirements will not be considered.
- The criteria to generate final merit list for admission will be based on the application data in terms of academic marks obtained, work experience, marks obtained in NMAT by GMAC and Case Discussion & Personal Interview.
- The selection criteria will be based on merit only. The decision regarding cut-off of the merit list will solely lie with NMIMS.

NMIMS Mumbai Admission Process
Following steps are included in the NMIMS Mumbai Admission process:
Step 1: Register and apply for NMAT by GMAC 2020 and also apply for admission at NMIMS Mumbai and other preferred NMIMS campuses. The program preferences once given cannot be changed later on.
Step 2: The candidate should apply to NMIMS campuses by using the common application form for all the 5 NMIMS campuses. The application fee is Rs.2200/- to be paid online through Debit/Credit Card
Step 3: It is mandatory for the candidates to carry their Admit Card at the time of NMAT by GMAC exam and get it signed by the Test Centre Administrator. The signed admit card shall be required to be presented during CD and PI, if shortlisted. Admit card is a mandatory document to be retained till the admission cycle is not complete.
Step 4: For candidates who take the NMAT by GMAC test more than once, their better scores will be taken into account
Step 5: The last and most recent preferences as selected by the candidate at the time of application will be taken as his / her final preferences for the shortlisting for the final selection round.
Step 7: Shortlisted candidates are required to download the call letter from the NMIMS website and should bring it for CD/PI process. No separate call letter will be mailed. Case Discussion (CD) and Personal Interview (PI) Rounds will be held at designated centers.
Step 8: The final Merit list will be generated on the NMIMS website. The admission offer will be made on the basis of details in the application form on academic profile, work experience, Score obtained in NMAT by GMAC, performance in Case Discussion, and Personal Interview.
