More than 30 B-schools in India and 19 colleges abroad accept N.M.A.T scores for the admissions in their M.B.A programs. N.M.A.T by GMAC (also referred to as N.M.A.T) is conducted for admissions to M.B.A /PGDM and other management courses offered by various colleges in India. Candidates applying for the exam can select up to five B-schools (without additional charges) while filling up the N.M.A.T 2019 application form?

These colleges are referred to as N.M.A.T participating colleges or N.M.A.T Colleges as they are registered with GMAC for shortlisting of candidates for admission. This facilitates the admission process. Here’s how.

What is NMAT? (MBA Direct Admission Process by NMAT)

N.M.A.T by GMAC or N.M.A.T is a national-level management entrance test for admission to M.B.A /PGDM courses offered by NMIMS University and other reputed B-Schools situated in India.

Pearson VUE is conducting N.M.A.T 2019, on behalf of Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), from October 4 to December 17, 2019 in online mode.

N.M.A.T is a unique M.B.A entrance exam similar to GMAT, wherein test takers get a chance to attempt the exam thrice in a 75-day test window.

N.M.A.T Registration 2019 (with late fee) is open now along with the facility to schedule exam attempts.

NMAT by GMAC exam 2019 is under way: (MBA Direct Admission Process by NMAT)

The last date of the 75-day window test is December 17, 2019. There will be some students who wish to reschedule or retake the test. They can do so till December 14, 2019 by applying on the official website nmat.org.in. Application fee for retaking of the exam is Rs. 2500/-. Candidates who register successfully have an option to choose date and time of exam as per their convenience.

  • In 2018, candidate intake in N.M.A.T was from different parts of the country. Though candidates from the western and northern regions were equal and the highest compared to the other regions.
  • In 2018, around 62% of the candidates enrolled through N.M.A.T were not having any work experience. Around 38% of N,M.A.T 2018 registrants had worked in the industry before opting for formal management education.

  • Graduate degree must be completed under 10+2+3 or 4 years education pattern from any stream.
  • Minimum 50% marks in aggregate is required in the final year of graduation.

Ques: Can a test taker review questions or sections?

Ans: Yes, a test taker can review the sections of the exam within the allotted section time. Review Screen at the end of every section will allow the test taker to either move directly to incomplete (unanswered) questions or review all or any questions.

Once a test taker has moved ahead from one section to the next section, he/she will not be able to return to the previous section.

Ques: Will the content of the NMAT change this year?

Ans: The content will not change for the exam by GMAC. The exam will contain MCQs that includes Quantitative Ability, Language Skills, and Logical Reasoning questions.

What is NMAT Cut off? (MBA Direct Admission Process by NMAT)

N.M.A.T cut off is determined by each participation college for admission to its MBA/PGDM programmed. The scores of N.M.A.T exam (N.M.A.T by GMAC) which is conducted in a 75-day test window is accepted by 30 B-schools across India. These institutes determine N.M.A.T cut off for admission on the basis of certain factors.

The cut offs of N.M.A.T generally remain between 150 and 200 overall scores for admissions.
