K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research was established in 1981 as a part of K. J. Somaiya Trust and Somaiya Vidyavihar with the objective of providing state-of-the-art education in management and allied areas.

The Institute has been aggressively strengthening its academic and research activities. The Institute nestled in a 60 acre campus in the central suburbs of Mumbai offers full time and part time Masters and Post Graduate Programs in Business Management, and Masters in Computer Applications.

It is located on a 55-acre plot in the central suburbs of Mumbai. The institute has facilities for sports, several foreign languages, yoga and other sports and recreational facilities.
