MICA PGDM 2019-21 Admission Shortlisting Criteria
Admission Shortlisting Criteria is an important aspect of the admission process as it ensures whether the candidate will be shortlisted for the final selection or not. MICA Shortlisting process is a 3 step process. Candidates can find the MICA Admission Shortlisting criteria below:
** Management Quota PGDM Admission in MICA Ahmedabad **
Step 1: CAT/XAT/GMAT scores
Candidates need to meet the minimum required cut-off marks/percentile in either one of the CAT, XAT and GMAT entrance examinations.
Step 2: MICAT Scores
The MICAT entrance exam consists of 3 sections –

- a) Section A: Psychometric Test
- b) Section B: It contains 4 sub sections namely Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General Awareness and Divergent and Convergent thinking.
- c) Section C: Descriptive Test.
Candidates need to obtain the minimum required cut-off marks in the MICAT entrance exam. Also, they would need to meet the individual cut-offs required for each section of the MICAT exam.

Step 3: Group Exercises and Personal Interview
All the candidates shortlisted based on their performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT and the MICAT test will have to appear for the Group Exercises and Personal Interview Rounds. The selection criteria for shortlisting candidates for the GE and PI exercises is as given below:

- The first section that is section A of the MICAT exam is a qualifier.
- The relative performance of candidates performance in CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered for the candidates who qualify the psychometric exam. Candidates who meet minimum required cut-offs for the CAT/XAT/GMAT will be considered for the next round.
- Candidates who qualify on the basis of their CAT/XAT/GMAT scores will be assessed for their performance in Section B of the MICAT exam.

- Those who qualify on the basis of relative performance subject to a minimum cut-off in *Normalized Scores of Section B of MICAT shall have their Section C of MICAT exam assessed. Each section will have its own cut-off.
- Candidates who qualify on the basis of all the above mentioned criteria are considered for shortlisting for Group Exercise and Personal Interview Rounds. (GE & PI candidate list is prepared on the Composite Score formula of 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT and 50% MICAT scores).
