Sydenham Institute of Management Studies and Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIM SREE) is a parent institute of Sydenham College which is one of the most renowned Commerce Colleges in India. Sydenham College, “the first college of commerce in Asia,” was established in October 1913. It was named after the governor of Bombay ‘Lord Sydenham of Combe’. SIM SREE is the oldest institute providing commerce related Full-Time Courses. Thus, Sydenham College became the oldest degree-awarding institution in commerce. SIM SREE was established in 1983, carrying forward the rich legacy of Sydenham College. K. S. Aiyar acted as first honorary principal of the college.

SIM SREE offers the Masters of Management Studies (MMS) course, a Two Year Full -Time post graduate degree course affiliated to the University of Mumbai, since 1983. This course is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The program is conducted under the directions of the University of Mumbai with specializations offered in the areas of Finance, Marketing, Operations, Systems and HR.

Admission Process

SIM SREE Mumbai has announced its ad mission policy and process for MMS 2018-20 batch and PGDBM 2018-20 batch. The ad mission process is governed by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra. The candidates need to participate in DTE Centralized Ad mission process (CAP) to get into SIM SREE. MMS/PGDBM ad missions in Sydenham institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIM SREE) are open for Maharashtra as well as outside Maharashtra candidates till May 2018.
No Separate Application needed

Candidates do not require to apply separately to SIM SREE. Ad missions to the institute will be handled by Centralized Allotment Process. However, it is mandatory for the candidates to register and participate in DTE CAP in the last week of May 2018 at the designated centre.
Shortlisting criteria

Different exam scores will be accepted for Maharashtra State (MS) category and All India (AI) category candidates as per the DTE guidelines.
MS Category: Score of MAHCET 2018 will be accepted for Maharashtra State candidates.
AI Category: Score of MAHCET 2018, CAT 2017 and CMAT 2018 will be considered in ad mission process for MMS 2018-20 batch for All India category candidates.
As per the DTE Maharashtra notification dated October 18, 2017, only those All India category candidates will be considered for ad mission who have appeared in MAHCET 2018, CAT 2017 or CMAT 2018 exams. Accordingly, shortlisting of the All India category candidates for ad mission to SIM SREE will be made on the basis of their performance in MAHCET 2018, CAT 2017 or CMAT 2018 exam scores. No other entrance exam scores will be accepted by DTE Maharashtra for ad mission to SIM SREE.
Maharashtra State category candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in MAHCET 2018 exam, the result of which was declared on March 19, 2018. Weightage to all the examinations is 100 percent and if a candidate has appeared in more than one examination, his better score will be taken into account. If the candidate has appeared in MAHCET and has scored high, this score will supersede the other exam scores.
No separate cut-off will be individually applied by SIM SREE. There will be Maharashtra B schools Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) conducted by DTE Maharashtra, to be conducted in last week of May 2018. Candidates will be allotted institutes on the basis of CAP. Thus there will be only one ad mission round common to all the B-schools including SIM SREE.

Post declaration of MAHCET 2018 exam result, SIM SREE Mumbai cut offs are expected to go up as compared to last year both for the Maharashtra State (MS) category as well as All India (AI) category candidates. Following are the expected slot wise cut offs across all the four slots of MAHCET 2018 exam held on March 10 and 11 for Maharashtra State (MS) and All India (AI) category.
